Does Gerard Pique give the middle finger to Euro 2016 cameraman? Evidence suggests he does!

Posted by Unknown on 20:50 in , , , ,
We can't really explain what just happened, but it appears as though Gerard Pique swore down the camera on live TV and subsequently offended everyone who was watching.
Take a look at the video above and see for yourself.
During Spain 's national anthem, the cameraman goes about his usual track along the players. Pausing at the end of the line, you can see Pique's hand firmly wrapped around David de Gea's shoulder.
So far, so good.
Until Pique's hand and fingers start to morph in transformer like fashion.

David Ramos
Gerard Pique clearly got bored of waiting to start
Slowly but surely, the Barcelona defender's hand forms into him giving the middle finger.
And if you're unsure as to whether he's just simply moving around, you're questions are soon answered as his hand stays in solid formation.
Why has he done this?
We can't be sure, maybe he just wanted to be a rebel.

Espanyol fans smuggle pig’s head into stadium to throw at Gerard Piqué

Espanyol supporters smuggled a pig’s head into the Estadi Cornellà-El Prat stadium to throw at Gerard Piqué during a fraught Copa del Rey derby with Barcelona on Wednesday night.

Barcelona won the match 2-0 to complete a 6-1 aggregate victory following astormy first leg at the Camp Nou last week which had seen Lionel Messi stamped on and Luis Suárez suspended for his part in a fracas – and the second tie was just as ill-tempered.

A group of fans revealed the pig’s head, concealed in a paper bag, to a local radio journalist and claimed they wanted to recreate the incident in November 2002 when Barcelona fans threw a pig’s head at Luís Figo following his controversial switch to Real Madrid.

Piqué remained on the bench throughout to prevent the fans seeing through their plan. There were also several inflammatory banners with offensive messages towards Shakira, Pique’s partner, and Suárez.

Another sign read “Pau, your foot shows us the way” following the goalkeeper Pau López’s apparent stamp on Messi last week which infuriated the Ballon d’Or winner, a play on Real Madrid fans’ banner “José, your finger shows us the way” after José Mourinho poked the then-Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova in the eye during the 2011 Spanish Super Cup.

The game was just as spiky on the pitch with Felipe Caicedo and Marc-André ter Stegen clashing and Álvaro González apparently elbowing Messi near the end of the game. Álvaro reportedly called the Barça forward “really short”, marking his height with his hand, to which Messi replied: “You’re really bad.”

Barcelona spy agency scandal drags in Piqué, Shakira and politicians

Barcelona FC had defender followed as it was worried about relationship with Colombian pop star, ex-Metodo 3 staff claim

It is a tale of private eyes, politicians, multi-millionaire football players, hip-gyrating Colombian pop stars and microphones hidden in posies of flowers.

At the centre of the blossoming scandal engulfing Barcelona's great and good lies a once ubiquitous detective agency, Metodo 3, whose safe full of secrets about the glamorous Spanish city's sordid underbelly is threatening to spill wide open.

As Spain's economy crumbles in the face of recession and austerity, Metodo 3 has joined the long list of companies to have closed its doors. Angry former employees have sought revenge by leaking some of the dirty tricks allegedly carried out on behalf of political parties and, now, the city's most famous soccer club, Barcelona FC.

The latest alleged victim of the agency's spying is the Barcelona and Spain defender Gerard Piqué, who was reportedly trailed on the orders of club bosses worried about whether his romance with the Colombian pop star Shakira and his embrace of the city's nightlife was damaging his form on the pitch.

The news website El Confidencial reported that the club asked for Piqué to be followed in 2010 in order to see how much time he was spending partying. It says in September 2010 Piqué was trailed after going to a pop concert in Barcelona. Detectiveslogged the drinks he had and the time he got home. El Confidencial said the player eventually realised he was being tailed, but the club managed to persuade him that it was just the tabloid press.

The club issued a confusing denial. "The club does not wish to comment on this because it has no documentary evidence that this ever happened and, as a result, we deny it," a spokesman said on Tuesday.

Although rumours that the club had spied on numerous players – including former stars Samuel Eto'o, the Brazilian Ronaldinho and Portugal's Deco – have circulated for several years, it is the first time that Metodo 3 has been named as the agency that allegedly carried out the work.

The agency's political activities first came to light in published recordings of a lunchtime conversation between a local leader of prime minister Mariano Rajoy's People's party (PP) and the angry former girlfriend of a businessman closely connected to the Catalan Democratic Convergence (CDC), the party that governs Catalonia. A microphone hidden in a centrepiece posy of flowers reportedly captured her tale of alleged money-laundering in Andorra and London.

Barcelona FC's former head of security Xavier Martorell is one of the key players in the scandal. Now head of Catalonia's prison service and a senior CDC member, Martorell has admitted hiring the agency to do work for the party. He is even reported to have requested reports on people within the CDC, though he strongly denies these allegations.

However, it seems most other major political parties also hired the agency. PP secretary-general María Dolores de Cospedal has admitted using Metodo 3, and former agency employees say they also worked for the Catalan branch of the socialist party. All say there was nothing illegal about the tasks the agency was asked to perform.

Police last week raided the agency's offices in Barcelona and Madrid and removed files, leading to speculation that they were now privy to secret reports on many of the most important people in the city.

Already Catalan politicians are claiming the government wants to get its hand on the documents as a way of gathering information on them and blocking moves towards independence. The head of Spain's CNI espionage service, General Félix Sanz Roldán, has publicly stated that his agency is not involved.

Gerard Pique & Shakira: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Posted by Unknown on 08:55
Shakira and Gerard Pique have a special connection to the World Cup. In fact, they are together because of it.

The Colombian songstress and the Spanish soccer star met at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He was there playing for the Spanish national team, and she was there to sing the official song for the tournament.

They went public in March of 2011, when Shakira put the confirmation on Twitter and Facebook.

The 10-year age difference — she’s 37 and he’s 27 — doesn’t seem to matter to the couple.

As Pique and his teammates take on Chile on June 18, let’s celebrate the couple.

1. They’re Not Having Sex During the World Cup

Shakira couldn't keep her hands off her husband last night (and how great are her boots!):

Shakira and Pique will not be getting it on during the duration of the soccer tournament.

In an interview with Telemundo, Shakira confirmed it, saying:

I guess you are referring to the ‘extracurricular activities.’ In that sense, sure, we need to respect what is called a concentration because, if not, it would be a distraction.

2. They Met Because of This World Cup Music Video

The pair first met while filming the music video for “Waka Waka,” which was the official World Cup song in 2010.

In the video above, we see Pique in the video at the 1:11 mark.

At the time, Pique told her, “I am going to win this World Cup so that we can see each other at the finals.”

Sure enough, he did win, and the rest is history.

Shakira told Elle, “I know he’s the one person who is with me not because of any interest other than the love that unites us.”

3. He Won’t Let Her Work With Hot Men
Shakira has said that Pique doesn’t let her work with good-looking men in music videos.

This is one of the reasons that she made the above sexy video for “Can’t Remember to Forget You” with Rihanna.

She told Billboard, “He’s very territorial, and since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women.”

She added:

It’s more than implied in our relationship that I can’t do videos like I used to. It’s out of the question — which I like, by the way. I like that he protects his turf and he values me, in a way that the only person he would ever let graze my thigh would be Rihanna.

These comments got blown up by the media, and Shakira was there to defend herself and her man

It’s funny, when I made those comments, it was really in a lighthearted, humorous way. I was surprised to see that it was taken so seriously in the press. Gerard doesn’t tell me what to do — we discuss everything as a couple, as I imagine most partners do. We have a beautiful relationship and one of mutual trust.

4. They Have a Son

In January of 2013, the couple welcomed baby Milan.

Their little boy’s name has a special meaning, which Shakira pointed out in his birth announcement.

It means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic, and in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious. In Sanskrit, it stands for unification.

Since Shakira’s a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, they collaborated with the organization to host a virtual baby shower, which enabled people to give a gift to babies in need.

Shakira and Pique made this statement:

To celebrate the arrival of our first child, we hope that, in his name, other less privileged children in the world can have their basic needs covered through gifts and donations.

They took the photo below for the shower.

I'm pretty sure that Shakira and her husband are the most attractive couple

5. They Don’t Seem to Care About Marriage

In an interview with Primer Impacto, she said, “When you feel complete you don’t need to get married, and you don’t think about it.”

She also reiterated this fact to Glam Belleza Latina, saying:

We already have what’s essential, you know? We have a union, a love for each other, and a baby. I think that those aspects of our relationship are already established, and marriage is not going to change them. But if I’m ever going to get married, he’s the one.

Spanish footballer Gerard Pique allegedly hurled a disgusting insult towards a linesman

Posted by Unknown on 08:51
IF HEAVEN exists and Gerard Pique really did say this, he can kiss his chances of strolling through the pearly gates goodbye.

While footballers are known for spending as much time complaining to officials as they do playing, the Spanish international took this reputation to another stratosphere by allegedly hurling a disgusting remark towards a linesman.

Playing for Barcelona in their Spanish Super Cup tie against Athletic Bilbao on Monday, the central defender unleashed a vile tirade towards the official after he failed to raise his flag for offside during a Bilbao attacking raid.

According to referee Velasco Carballo’s post-match notes, Pique screamed “I s*** on your whore mother” at assistant Oscar De Marcos.

Pique was sent off for the transgression, which occurred in the 58th minute, as the match ended in a 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao winning the tie 5-1 on aggregate.

The 28-year-old faces the possibility of a 12-match suspension, though that is unlikely, with some suggesting a five-game ban is more probable. Regardless, he will miss the La Liga opener on Sunday, also against Bilbao.

The veteran of 69 international appearances is appealing his red card at Camp Nou, with the club releasing a statement saying “Barcelona filed objections on Tuesday to the red card shown to Gerard Pique in the 58th minute of the second leg of the Supercopa de Espana against Athletic Bilbao”.

On Tuesday he apologised for the incident on Twitter, but protested his innocence regarding the exact wording of what was said.

“I apologise for the attitude I used to protest with the linesman, it was not correct,” wrote Pique.

“It was a very tense match in which a lot was at stake. However, at no time did I say any kind of insult towards him.”

Pique's tirade

After losing the first leg 4-0 the Catalans were never really in the hunt to win the tie, but Pique’s exit all but sealed their fate.

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique said the loss would provide a reality check for his team, searching for their sixth premiership in eight years.

“In my opinion Bilbao played a great first leg and they are worthy champions,” Enrique said. “You have to know how to win and lose.

“It is good to lose sometimes to help you understand how hard and rewarding it is to win.

“The final ended when Gerard Pique was sent off. We remain a united group and we are certainly competitive.”

Shakira Opens Up About Her "Beautiful Relationship" With Gerard Piqué

Posted by Unknown on 08:50

Despite her past eyebrow-raising comments (which in all fairness she did indeed clarify) Shakira says the "balance of power is fairly equal" in her relationship with boyfriend Gerard Piqué.

"Relationships have to have a give and take if they're going to work in the long term," the Colombian beauty, who stuns on the cover of Ocean Drive magazine's "Women of Influence" issue explains.

The "Hips Don't Lie" singer made headlines back in March after she revealed the reason behind her collaboration with Rihanna, admitting her boyfriend is to blame.

"He's very territorial, and since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women," Shakira told Billboard.

She later clarified that she was being "humorous" and reiterated the point withOcean Drive mag. "It's funny, when I made those comments, it was really in a lighthearted, humorous way. I was surprised to see that it was taken so seriously in the press."

"Gerard doesn't tell me what to do," she continued. "We discuss everything as a couple, as I imagine most partners do. We have a beautiful relationship and one of mutual trust."

The couple has one child together, a son named Milan Piqué Mebarak, whom they welcomed in January 2013 and the hitmaker reveals how motherhood has changed her.

"Everything is different. Maybe the biggest change is that I think about the future more, what the world will be like for him when he grows up," she says. "But when it comes to living, it's all about the present."

Instagram

As for her experience working with Rihanna for their super sexy "Can't Remember to Forget You" music video?

"It was a blast, honestly," she reveals. "I'm sure on the outside it looks like two divas, but when we got together, we realized we had a lot in common—both Caribbean girls from small towns who are very down to earth when it comes down to it, and just enjoy having a good time."

So does the down-to-Earth beauty still remain in touch with her Colombian roots?

"I go back a couple of times a year—not as often as I'd like with my schedule, but I still remain very identified with the culture," she says. "This year, when I inaugurated my school, we also got Milan his Colombian passport. I want him to identify with and know that part of his background and culture because it's a beautifully rich and colorful one."

He plays as a centre-back for FC Barcelona and the Spain national team and is one of the four players to have won the UEFA Champions League two years in a row with different teams, the others being Marcel Desailly, Paulo Sousa and Samuel Eto'o. He was interested in football from a young age and began his youth career in 1997 when he entered the FC Barcelona academy as a ten year old. Energetic, focused and talented, he soon matured into a young player who displayed great potential to be a future football star. With time he passed through the various youth levels and was especially skilled at adapting to different positions on the field. He also gained a reputation for scoring goals despite his defensive position, a trait that would help a lot in his future professional career. He made his debut for Manchester United in 2004 as a replacement for John O'Shea. A few years later Gerard got an offer from FC Barcelona and it became a turning point in his career. He has also represented Spain, making his debut in 2009

Childhood & Early Life

He was born as Gerard Piqué Bernabeu on 2 February 1987, in Barcelona, Spain, to Joan Piqué and Montserrat Bernabeu. His father is a business man while his mother is the director of a prestigious spinal injuries hospital in Barcelona. He has one brother.

He developed an interest in football early on and began his youth career in 1997 when he entered the FC Barcelona academy as a ten year old and joined the youngest boys' team at the club at that time (Alevín B). He was among the main defenders of his team and practiced in the academy for several years, passing through the various youth levels and age categories (Alevín A, Infantil B and A, Cadete B and A and Juvenil B and A). A talented and hard working youngster, he won numerous titles along the way.

During his time at the academy, he blossomed into a skilled player who displayed a great ability to adapt to different positions on the field. He also became popular for scoring goals despite his defensive position. He left FC Barcelona at the end of the 2003–04 season.

Career
Gerard Pique made his debut for Manchester United in October 2004 as a replacement for John O'Shea as a centre-back in a Carling Cup match against Crewe Alexandra which his team won.

In March 2006, he made his full debut for the team in a Premier League match against West Ham United at Old Trafford, playing at right-back. This time he was a replacement for Gary Neville who was nursing an injury.

Manchester United loaned him to La Liga side Real Zaragoza for the 2006–07 season. He got the chance to play 22 matches alongside Argentine Gabriel Milito, either as a stopper or a holding midfielder. However, he also spent much of his time on the bench.

Gerard Pique returned to Manchester United in 2007–08 and had a memorable season in the Champions League. He scored the first of Manchester United's four goals in the 4–0 home win against Dynamo Kyiv on 7 November 2007 and scored his second goal in an away match against Roma on 12 December 2007.

He signed a four-year contract with Barcelona, with a €5 million buy-out clause in May 2008. In his first season with Barcelona he made 45 appearances, and not only became the team’s first choice centre back but also scored three goals.

He was a part of the Barcelona team which beat Argentine club Estudiantes 2–1 in the 2009 FIFA Club World Cup Final. He played a key role in the match as he assisted Pedro Rodríguez's 89th minute equalizing goal which took the match to extra-time.

He was called to play for the Spain national football team in 2009. After making an appearance in a friendly match against England, he played as a replacement for injured team-mate Carles Puyol in the 2010 World Cup qualifier against Turkey at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, and scored his team’s only goal.

He played as Spain’s first-choice centre-back playing alongside Puyol at the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa. His partnership with Puyol saw Spain concede only twice in seven World Cup matches. Spain went on to emerge victorious in the tournament after defeating the Netherlands 1–0 in the final.

He continued playing for Barcelona as well and played in the 2011 Champions League Final in which his team defeated Manchester United 3–1 at Wembley Stadium to lift the European Cup.

Gerard Pique was a part of the Spanish national team that participated in the UEFA Euro 2012 campaign. He partnered Sergio Ramos in the centre of defence and successfully converted the team's third penalty in a semi-final shoot-out win over Portugal.

He played in 39 official matches in the 2013–14 season as a part of the Barcelona team and scored four goals, two in the league and two more in the UCL. However he was plagued by injuries that forced him to miss out on the crucial Copa del Rey Final against Real Madrid. In 2014–15, he played 43 games for Barcelona.
